FOOD & EMPLOYEE SAFETY PLAN
Corso’s Cookies takes the health and safety of our employees very seriously. With the spread of the corona virus “COVID 19” the company must remain vigilant in mitigating the outbreak. To be safe and maintain operations, we have developed this COVID-19 exposure prevention, preparedness, and response plan. This plan is based on the information available from the CDC and NYS at the time of its development.
All Corso’s Cookies employees must do their part to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 at our facility. All employees must follow these policies and practices. In addition, employees are expected to report to their managers and/or supervisors if they are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 as well as go through a standard screening process which includes a questionnaire and a temperature check. Any person entering the facility who displays a temperature of greater than 100.1°F will not be permitted to enter. Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 will be directed to follow the CDC guidelines for
All entrances to the building are locked. 24 hour access to the building using Key Fobs is restricted to management ONLY. Production staff and essential vendors may only gain access to the facility after having their temperature taken and answering questions regarding their health. Hourly production staff have limited access to the building using their Key Fobs, during lunch and break time hours.
All employees and vendors who enter the building are required to wear a mask. Masks have been provided by Corso’s Cookies. All employees have been given either a mask or a protective face covering. Employees are required to clean their masks with an alcohol based sanitizer to ensure they are being properly disinfected. In addition to face masks, employees have also been given protective face shields or safety glasses.
Social distancing signs have been strategically placed throughout the building (hand wash sinks, bathrooms, breakroom, and other common areas). We have also taken steps to ensure that our common areas are properly formatted for social distancing. All breakroom tables contain sanitizer to ensure tables are properly maintained before and after use and are kept 6 feet apart at all times. We have implemented new break rotations to ensure there are no more than 8 employees on break at one time. Additionally, we employ a full time cleaner to disinfect and sanitize surfaces throughout the facility.
