About the Role

We have an immediate opening for a spot on our Decorating Production Crew. We are the largest producer of decorated cookies in North America, using some of the most innovative technology to help us achieve our goals and create a fun and exciting work experience. Our production crew members are motivated, on time, and calm under pressure. Understanding computers beyond basic skills is a plus but not required. You must feel comfortable working with computers, tablets, and other machine controls and components. A mechanical, robotics or graphic design background is a plus!   • Required to meet or exceed daily production goals

  • Observes automation line; identifies problems and resolves issues to ensure smooth operation.

  • Ensures robotics is operating efficiently. Works with maintenance to order parts when necessary with prior approval from Supervisor.

  • Assists maintenance in making adjustments to the robot(s).

  • Responsible for adjusting, editing, and working with files drawn for our proprietary software program to operate the robot

  • Uses the proprietary software program to import, export, and organize files.

  • Communicates with Shift Supervisor.

  • Assists in the setup and breakdown of all parts of the automated line.

  • Counts and records cookies before and after each run using the online database and provided job packet.

  • Maintains broad, up-to-date knowledge on cookie designs (i.e., artwork appearance) and any last-minute changes.

  • Works with the frosting department to make the icing. Understands how to thicken or thin out icing as needed for production

  • Works with Product Manager and/or Production Supervisor to load, size, and print high-resolution designs directly onto the cookies using proprietary machinery

  • Understands color and tonality when printing and can troubleshoot and/or diagnose printing flaws during production. Works with maintenance to find a solution

Physical & Mental Requirements

  • Excellent mental and visual attention to perform manual work, machine operations, set-ups, inspections, and adjustments that required frequent decisions to detect and adjust for a variance from proper operation

  • Must be able to stand, walk and constantly hear and talk frequently; Repetitive motion of hands and/or wrists; and finger, grasp, handle or feel product and materials. Must be able to reach with arms and/or hands, crouch, bend or kneel.

  • Must be able to lift, move, push, pull, or otherwise exert in the performance of the job over 25 lbs and up to 50 lbs.

Work Enviornment

  • Noise level is moderate.

  • Works inside where there is heat and protection from weather conditions.

  • May be exposed to extreme heat when opening ovens or cold temperatures when entering walk-in cooler(s)

  • Proximity to moving mechanical parts when using the mixer or roller.

  • A break room is available with a kitchen area and vending machines
