About the Role
We are a large, commercial bakery producing a few hundred thousand cookies weekly. You will be part of a team responsible for the daily production of our cookies within the bakery team. Working in the bakery is physically demanding, requiring you to lift items weighing 50 lbs or more. Being able to follow a recipe exactly is a must. Each Bakery Crew member may be required to use large ovens, industrial machinery and/or standing floor mixers.
We have an immediate opening for a new crew member in our bakery. Our bakery is a commercial bakery producing 40-60,000 cookies each day. Working in our bakery requires the applicant to use industrial machinery, operate ovens and use standing floor mixers. Our production staff works four, ten-hour shifts weekly – giving you a three-day weekend every week!

Requirements
Responsible for the daily production of all baked goods and ensuring the quality of those baked goods to meet Corso’s Cookies standards of excellence in taste, texture, shape, and freshness.
Mixes dough for sugar cookies. Strictly follows written recipes; ensures most up-to-date recipes are used. Makes frosting for cookies. Accurately follows written recipes.
Maintains the cleanliness of all baking equipment, tools, and work area. Responsible for reporting any equipment damage or maintenance issues to management in a timely fashion.
Monitors ingredients to ensure an ample supply; works with supervisors to review production schedules and projections so that additional ingredients and/or supplies may be ordered should there be an increase in the production schedule.
Assists in other departments when necessary.
Follows opening and closing procedures.
Communicate with the Production Supervisor daily to ensure that cookies are completed correctly and on time.

Physical & Mental Requirements
Excellent mental and visual attention to perform manual work, machine operations, set-ups, inspections, and adjustments that required frequent decisions to detect and adjust for a variance from proper operation
Must be able to stand, walk and constantly hear and talk frequently; Repetitive motion of hands and/or wrists; and finger, grasp, handle or feel product and materials. Must be able to reach with arms and/or hands, crouch, bend or kneel.
Must be able to lift, move, push, pull, or otherwise exert in the performance of the job over 25 lbs and up to 50 lbs.
Physical & Mental Requirements
Noise level is moderate.
Works inside where there is heat and protection from weather conditions.
May be exposed to extreme heat when opening ovens or cold temperatures when entering walk-in cooler(s)
Proximity to moving mechanical parts when using the mixer or roller.
A break room is available with a kitchen area and vending machines
